Flashback Friday: Ascencion Church in Villa Escudero

The pink church. This is the Ascencion Church found inside the vast Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort in San Pablo City, Laguna. It was a Spanish-style church and being used as a museum. My daughter took this picture during her educational field trip five years ago.

Palo Metropolitan Cathedral after Typhoon Yolanda

This is what’s left of the cathedral edifice a few hours after super typhoon Yolanda hit the island of Leyte. Only the concrete walls remain standing. Experts alone can declare if the edifice is fit for reconstruction or a new church should be built¬† on the same site.

See the picture of the church five months ago. Both pictures were taken by my former officemate Ver Noveno.
