Revisiting Gensan

It’s Father’s Day on Sunday, my husband wish to spend this year’s occasion with his Tatay, who currently resides in General Santos City. For the first time in years, Tatay will celebrate Father’s Day without Nanay (my mother in law). Last year, Tatay lost his wife due to a lingering illness. Hubby intends to visit his father last summer, but we only have a limited budget and travel fare, which will eat up a large chunk of the budget, is not part of it.

Calling his father on the phone this Sunday is the only option I know to… If things get better, I want to give something to hubby that he will appreciate. You can click here just to give you my gift idea on Father’s Day.

Meeting our future Canadian nephew-in-law

My husband’s niece and her fiancé will be visiting us in April. Mai will introduce her future husband to her relatives in Manila. I think the guy who lives in Canada wants to settle down this year and while he is here he wants to visit as many places with his future wife as possible. The guy loves to travel and he has seen so many places during his brief stay in Gensan last year. I’m not sure about their plan after marriage. But if Mai’s parents have a choice, perhaps they would still want their daughter to live in their place. She doesn’t have to worry about paying cheap home insurance because her fiancé will surely take care of everything for her and her family.

Plan to relocate in General Santos City

Do you sometimes wish that you are starting a new life somewhere?

My husband entertains this thought when we are talking about his retirement five years from now. Hubby said he wants to stay permanently in General Santos City where he can also put up his own business. He is thinking of a printing business, but it will need a huge capital to buy printing machine and scanner software. Hubby is supposed to retire after 30 years of service with PJI. But it would be untimely since our kids would still be in school. Our family needs a steady source of income to get by before his retirement date comes.
