La Mesa Eco Park

We visited La Mesa Eco Park last year. We were supposed to ride a boat, but the Superferry Boating Lagoon and Pavilion area were already closed when we arrived. We went straight to the Lopez Picnic Grounds hoping to see outdoor fire pits and took a leisurely walk at the Shell Flower Terraces.

Almost there

I love the outdoors although it’s rare that we do this kind of activity now. The last time that we were at Eco Park was in 2006. We hope to go back and explore the whole place one of these days. :D

Swing to their hearts content

Outdoors like nature tripping is a good time for bonding with our families.. It is also good for our health and self-esteem.

Just us…

Meeting our future Canadian nephew-in-law

My husband’s niece and her fiancé will be visiting us in April. Mai will introduce her future husband to her relatives in Manila. I think the guy who lives in Canada wants to settle down this year and while he is here he wants to visit as many places with his future wife as possible. The guy loves to travel and he has seen so many places during his brief stay in Gensan last year. I’m not sure about their plan after marriage. But if Mai’s parents have a choice, perhaps they would still want their daughter to live in their place. She doesn’t have to worry about paying cheap home insurance because her fiancé will surely take care of everything for her and her family.

Retirement Gift For An Aging Uncle

My uncle just retired from his job, but until now he has not received a single centavo from the company he has served for several years. And there is a threat that he may not be getting his Social Security benefits because his former company failed to remit their individual contributions for several months. Until now my uncle is hoping against hope that he will still get his retirement pay. He has a family to support and I know how much he wanted to help his married daughter especially his two grandchildren. To lessen his financial worries even for a while, I’m thinking of sending my uncle, retirement gifts grandpa like him will appreciate. Do you think a sterling-silver money clip with some cash will make my uncle smile?
