We have another long weekend this month. Do you have plans of spending it out-of-town or a staycation somewhere nice and quiet? The family might be meeting a niece from Gensan this weekend. The young lady will be meeting her Manila-based cousins for the first time. We hope to bring her to SM Mall of Asia. We hope to see if the indoor amusement park which is located at the center of the mall is already completed.
Hubby loves to share a lot of interesting stories of his childhood to his own children. One of those amazing stories includes his love for fishing as a young boy. He said he and an older brother would catch fish in the seashore using only the traditional fishing gadget made of bamboo. The older brother apparently is the more seasoned one when it comes to fishing sans the modern fishing tools. Had they stayed longer in General Santos, both of them could still be enjoying fishing activity, and who knows they might be partners in Charter Fishing. General Santos City, the widely known Tuna Capital of the Philippines, is a good place for charter fishing or big game fishing.
It’s Father’s Day on Sunday, my husband wish to spend this year’s occasion with his Tatay, who currently resides in General Santos City. For the first time in years, Tatay will celebrate Father’s Day without Nanay (my mother in law). Last year, Tatay lost his wife due to a lingering illness. Hubby intends to visit his father last summer, but we only have a limited budget and travel fare, which will eat up a large chunk of the budget, is not part of it.
